At the recent WMF – We Make Future innovation festival in Bologna, co-founders and co-CEOs Alessandro Cillario and Stefano Onofri met with Henna Virkkunen, Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy at the European Commission, alongside other senior European stakeholders.
As Europe recalibrates its digital priorities, the need for sovereign, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure has become both strategic and urgent. Cubbit’s geo-distributed cloud architecture offers a compelling alternative to traditional models. It enhances data privacy, reduces systemic risk, and materially improves the sustainability profile of data storage.
This is not a distant ambition. It is infrastructure being built and deployed today.
