10 years of Riverlane: The quantum leap from theory to industry

Congratulations to our portfolio company Riverlane and Founder and CEO Steve Brierley on reaching a significant milestone: 10 years of pioneering innovation in quantum computing.
A decade ago, quantum computing was largely confined to academia, with widespread scepticism around whether practical, useful systems would ever emerge. Steve and the Riverlane team took a different view.
Today, the field has evolved rapidly from theoretical exploration to a scaling global industry. Central to this progress is quantum error correction, the critical layer required to make quantum computers reliable, scalable, and commercially viable. Riverlane has positioned itself at the forefront of this challenge, building the infrastructure needed to unlock the full potential of quantum systems.
We are proud to have partnered with Riverlane on this journey and to support their mission to develop the foundational operating system for the next era of computing.
