We are delighted to announce the sale of Greenbird Integration Technology to GE Vernova! 🎉🌎
We invested in Greenbird to support the international growth of their platform product, Utilihive, which simplifies big data integration for utilities. By helping energy companies leverage data to run smarter, more efficient services and to innovate on new products faster, Greenbird accelerates the energy transition. Today, Utilihive is used across Europe, The Middle East and Asia serving more than 50 million consumers.
Lucy Rands, Partner at ETF Partners, said “We backed Greenbird to support its growth globally so that more utilities companies could benefit from its data integration platform to supercharge their energy transition goals. We are thrilled that the company’s hard work and knowledge are being recognised with this acquisition, and we have no doubt that Greenbird will go from strength to strength as part of GE.”
“With the backing of ETF Partners, EnBW New Ventures, and Nysnø Climate Investments, we have been able to realize global expansion with Utilihive. Today, more than 230 utilities around the world are able to leverage data that enable smarter, more efficient analytics-driven services,” said Thorsten Heller, CEO and Co-founder of Greenbird Integration Technology. “This is an exciting step forward to integrate our shared values and realize our vision for the future distributed energy grid together with our customers, partners, and the GE Vernova team.”
We wish Thorsten and the rest of the Greenbird team all the best with the next phase of their journey with GE, and appreciate the support from our friends Holger Wagner at EnBW New Ventures and Lars Hvam and Eivind Olsen with Nysnø Climate Investments who helped make Greenbird a success.
We are happy to have been a part of Greenbird’s journey and wish the team all the best on this next phase with GE.
