ETF Partners strengthens leadership with key partner promotions

The firm promotes longstanding team members as it looks to capitalise on the accelerated growth in sustainable investment across Europe

LONDON, 12 July 2023: ETF Partners, Europe’s oldest and leading impact investment firm, is expanding its leadership team by promoting Lucy Rands, Tomer Strikovsky, and Zoe VanderWolk to Partner in recognition of their contributions to the firm.

Rands and Strikovsky started their venture capital careers at ETF Partners, leading the firm’s investments in companies such as Modern Milkman, Fairly Made, Net Purpose, Shippeo and Zeelo. VanderWolk joined the firm as Head of Investor Relations and Sustainability in 2019 and previously co-founded Accessible Clean Energy LLP.

Senior Partner, Fabrice Bienfait commented on today’s news, stating, “At ETF Partners, we are focused on supporting and guiding start-ups help make a more sustainable world. It’s an approach we apply to our talent as well, and it has been a pleasure to watch Lucy, Tomer and Zoe grow and develop their careers here, as I have been able to do over the years. I am delighted that we can reward them for their commitment to the firm and the value they bring to us and our portfolio companies.”

Rands most recently led the firm’s investment in Fairly Made, a start-up allowing fashion brands to map supply chains and their overall impact on individual products. I am incredibly grateful to the ETF team for this platform and for the invaluable guidance and support they have offered over the last 7 years of working together. VanderWolk has spent the last 15 years working in sustainability and has twice been nominated for ESG Professional of the Year at the Drawdown Awards. She said, “I’m excited to see the impact investment market grow and mature and to be playing a part in its development at ETF Partners thanks to our support of dynamic start-ups and entrepreneurs using tech to move the needle on real-world problems. Strikovsky helped lead ETF Partners’ investments in Net Purpose, an impact data platform for Asset Managers as well as Modern Milkman – one of Europe fastest growing circular economy companies. He said, “The past 8 years have been an immense learning curve, from an intern role all the way up to partner, with invaluable knowledge gained from incredible colleagues along the way. I am sincerely grateful to my partners for this incredible opportunity and thrilled to continue supporting some of Europe’s leading climate founders.”

As well as Fairly Made and Net Purpose, ETF Partners recently led a funding round in Dexter Energy, which uses artificial intelligence to improve renewable generation forecasting and optimisation.
