We are thrilled to announce that LacunaSat-2B, a nanosatellite built by our portfolio company Open Cosmos, has successfully completed its mission and deorbited sustainably! πβ¨
LacunaSat-2B played a pivotal role in enabling global connectivity by collecting data from Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices in some of the world’s most remote locations. From tracking elephants to gathering critical environmental data from isolated regions, this satellite has supported a multitude of impactful applications.
This successful deorbit marks a significant milestone in line with the European Space Agency – ESA’s goal of achieving zero debris by 2030.
