London, June 26th, 2019 – On Wednesday 19th June 2019 we hosted our 5th annual Summer Corporate Club event at the new Conduit Club in Mayfair, London. The event, first established in 2014, is a fantastic occasion to network with industry experts and exciting start-up CEO’s who are rapidly changing our world, working in tandem with leading corporate partners.
This year we explored the topic of Artificial Intelligence and its relationship with sustainability. Starting with a fiery Q&A panel discussion, we had Stephen Emmott, former Head of Computational Science at Microsoft and visiting professor at Cambridge, Oxford and UCL, sharing his views on AI and sustainability (taking a particularly cynical stance), and Riam Kanso, CEO of Conception X and Head of Entrepreneurship at UCL (who on the contrary took the optimistic one). Together with our very own Patrick Sheehan, the panel debated what AI really means and discussed its present and future developments – from AlphaGo! to autonomous vehicles.
We want to thank everyone who attended this year’s event; we hope you found the event to be thought provoking, yet entertaining. A special thanks to our panel speakers and to Anthony, Sam, Fredrich and Tommi – the fantastic CEO’s who came to showcase their companies.
