In fact, according to a recent survey by The Institute of Customer Service on behalf of insurer Zurich UK, “Environmental sustainability has become the most important influence in buying behaviours for one in five (18%) of UK consumers. The study predicts that this could increase further to 55% in the next five years.”
Patrick further articulates this point stating, “The best companies are on top of this trend, demonstrating consistency in their actions and a real authenticity in the way they do business. Even financial institutions are becoming activists as they battle to appeal to customers. Holding companies accountable is becoming good for business and a positive force on many levels.”
